Overall, it is noticeable the number of fitness participants for women had an upward trend.
There was a dramatic fluctuation in fitness memberships for men and hit a high in two different years,
1975 and 1995.

The number of female fitness memberships underwent moderate volatility at around 2000
people and hit the highest point in 1985 and 1995, at 2800 people. However, it was low values
previously, with just 1000 members in 1970. Interestingly, the number of members of both genders was
nearly equal in 1990, approximately 2000.

The most significant increase in male members was seen between 1975 and 1995 with 4000 and
5000 which were twice that for women in the same year. By contrast, the lowest point in 2000 at
approximately 1000 people while the rest of the years fluctuated slightly at around 2000 members.
