    Bolt
    1 Obtain Material 1 ½”* 3” M.S Bar ( Place in Vice & Cut Off with Hack
    saw)

    2 Face off & Centre drill one side then reverse piece in chuck and repeat.

    3 Place on milling machine, using the dividing head, cut hexagon to 1 5/16
    A.F

    4 Place hex in chuck and turn taper at 10°

    5 Drill with 27/64 twist drill


    6 Drill ½ hole to ⅛ depth
    7 Start tapping with ½ NC13

    8 Then reverse piece in chuck & drill 9/16 hole to 1 ½ depth


    9 Recess undercut to 7/8

    Nut
    10 Obtain Material ⅝ * 4” M.S Bar

    11 Turn on lathe To ½ at 2½ length

    12 Mill square head to ½ A.F – 45/64 A.C

    13 Thread with ½ NC13

    TOOLS/ EQUIPMENT:
    Hacksaw & Chop saw, Steel rule, Scriber, Lathe (& accessories, HSS Cutting tool, tool post key, chuck key), Vertical Milling
    Machine & End Mill, Dividing Head, Drill Chuck & Twist Drills, Files and Sandpaper.
