Take note on the following while watching a video for a follow-up activity (individual). Make a
reflection and summary on the following. Essay with illustration
A. Brightness
The bigger the star, the brighter, the smaller the star, the dimmer
The brightness also depends on the temperature, therefore, if it is hotter, then it will be brighter,
and if it is colder, then it will be darker.
Distance is a factor on the brightness of the star. The farther it is from earth, the darker, the closer it
is to earth, the brighter it will be.
B. Color
The color can tell the temperature of a star. If the color of the star is yellow, then it has the lowest
temperature. Example of this is our sun. If it is blue, then it is most likely the hottest.
C. Temperature
The approximate temperature of yellow stars is 5,700 Celsius, while the approximate temperature
of a blue colored star is 27,000 Celsius
D. Size
E. mass
Low-mass stars tend to live for billions of years and leave out a small white dwarf when it dies
High-mass stars survive for millions of years and leaves out a black hole after its supernova
explosion.
3, What are constellations and how are they formed? What are the different formations of the
constellations as they come in their places?
Constellations are group of stars that are formed due to how close they look whenever we
stargaze. There are different constellations and 88 of them are officially recognized by the IAU or
international astronomical union. Some constellations have different names depending on the culture.
Such as how Orion’s belt is named Tres Marias here. Constellations can be formed whenever we
stargaze and compile different stars together and start creatin different images from it.
