From Scrap to Craft

My experience in making this lantern it is not easy. I know that this is a simple product but also can
reduce plastic waste in our environment. It is made of recycled bottled brand ‘’mountain dew’’. This type
of product is in decorative purpose. Lantern is a very popular in coming Christmas, because it is
symbolized the birth of our Christ. People adorn their houses with Christmas decors, others start to plan
out their parties. Me and my family cannot celebrate expensive party, because of no enough money.
Let us start in how to make recycled bottle lantern. Here the materials in making this product. These are
glitters, knife, scissor, mini bottles of nature spring, glue gun, small glue sticks, glue, paint brush,
nylon/rope, foil for the tail of our lantern and lastly the five pieces of bottle of mountain dew.
Now they are the steps to how to make this own decorative product:
First get ready your materials. Clean the five mountain dew bottles until its being dry. Put the small glue
stick inside in the glue gun. Then turn on the glue gun to heat up the glue stick for attaching the bottles.
Cut the mini bottles of nature spring into leaf shape. Attached the five bottles of mountain dew into star
and foil that looks like a tail for our lantern using glue gun. Now put glue in whole body of attached
mountain dew bottles using paint brush. When the brushing is done put the glitters in whole parts of in
bottle. Lastly, in using knife make a little hole above in our star and put the nylon rope. And it’s all done!
