- Introduction to Mass Hymns
Materials: Lap top, Songs, Sheet music with mass hymns, Speaker.

Objectives/ Learning Outcomes:

By the end of this lesson, students will be able to sing and understand the significance of mass hymns.

Lesson Procedure Time: 40’

 Introduction: Explain the Plan of the session.
 Steps:

1. Warm-up
- Begin with a brief warm-up exercise to prepare students' voices (humming).

2. Introduction to Mass Hymns

- Explain to students what mass hymns are and their significance in religious services.

3. Choosing a Hymn
- Select the mass hymns to focus on for the lesson.

4. Lyrics Familiarization:
- Display the lyrics of the chosen hymn on the projector or sheets.

5. Melody Introduction
- Play and sing the melody of the hymn for the students.
- Encourage students to listen carefully to the melody.
- Break down the melody into smaller sections and have students repeat them.

6. Practice
- Assemble the whole class to sing the hymn together.
- Pay attention to timing, harmony and dynamics.
- Offer feedback and make necessary corrections.

Closure for the first lesson:

Time: 5’
 Relaxation exercise with relaxing music.
 Teacher recaps the main points.
 Teacher asks the class to practice Sagesse Anthem for next session

Homework Assignments: Assign students to practice the Mass hymns and the Sagesse Anthem at home.
