James Webb Space Telescope sets off in search of the First Ever Star

In order to discover the first ever star created, James Webb Space Telescope has set off on its journey as
the most powerful telescope in the history of astronomy and aerospace. On 25th December,2021 James
Webb has been launched from the European Spaceport at 7:20 am (EST) local time.

After a prolonged wait of almost 30 years, James Webb has been launched from Arianespace's ELA-3
located near Kourou, French Guiana, using the Ariane 5 launcher.

James Webb is officially the most powerful space telescope made till date and ten thousand million US
dollars has been spent in its construction and launch.

Although James Webb has already successfully left the earth’s atmosphere, it will still take about two
weeks to start functioning properly around the earth’s orbit.

This magnificent space telescope has been named after NASA’s revolutionary scientist Mr James Webb
who had been the head of NASA’s Apollo campaigns.

The launch of the James Webb telescope has been delayed on certain occasions due to technical issues
and the pandemic crisis. Now it has been finally launched as the biggest space mission of this year.

The James Webb telescope is way more powerful than the Hubble space telescope and weighs around
6200 kilograms. James Webb will be far more competent in detecting deep space object and scientists
from NASA are very optimistic on its future performances.

Many scientists have attributed James Webb as the Time-Machine for the Future and they really hope
that James Webb will help us uncover the mysteries of the universe.

The huge mirrors used in James Webb will be larger than the ones previously used for the Hubble
telescope and scientists are positive on its enhanced features and abilities that will help them study
every phase in cosmic history.

James Webb will be competent in monitoring solar objects within and outside the Milky Way, capture
powerful pictures of nearby galaxies and find out about the atmospheres of planets in other solar
systems too.

Scientists believe James Webb can be a major keystone in figuring out more about life outside of our
solar system and study habitable planets in the near future. The ultimate goal of launching the James
Webb space telescope has been to enhance our knowledge and discover deeper space celestial objects.

It is a historic moment as the greatest and most powerful space telescope has been launched and it is a
huge milestone for NASA and the European Space Agency. This launch was a joint collaboration between
these two space agencies and scientists look forward to making revolutionary advances using the data
collected from the James Webb space telescope.

Since the launch of the Hubble Space Telescope no other more powerful telescope has been launched
and all the data collected from Hubble has been the main driving force in our advancement of
astronomical studies and research. As Hubble has played a major part in the overall discoveries in the
last decades, we can really hope that the James Webb Space Telescope will bring about revolutionary
advancement in our knowledge of the universe and its mysteries.
