Unaccompanied Minor
Child travelling alone (without parent/guardian) is called as unaccompanied Minor. Upper age limit for
unaccompanied minor is 12 years. Lower age limit is 4 or 5 depending on airline.

CHD tag should not be used when booking ticket for unaccompanied minor. To sell a segment for
unaccompanied minor, UM action code followed by age must be added to sell from Amadeus Availability
or else SSR element must be added. Any of the method can be used to sell a segment for unaccompanied
minor.

For adding SSR element, command is

To add an SSR element for an unaccompanied minor manually after end of transaction, enter
the age of the unaccompanied minor as free-flow text, following the SSR code.

SSR UMNR – UMage(age in 2 digits)

Example SRUMNR – UM06/P1

SRUMNR-UM07/10/11 (AGE FOR 3 PASSENGERS)

Some airlines also request that you send address information of the persons collecting of leaving the minor
at the airport, or the child's date of birth. This information is usually entered using an OSI element.

Depending on the airline, the information required in the SR OS segment might be different. For
information about particular airline, check GGAIR pages

Stretcher Passenger/Cabin Baggage/Extra Seat


Stretcher Passenger
For passenger requiring Stretcher, code IDSTCR is added while creating name and then SSR element is
added.

If Stretcher passenger does not require Extra Seat for Oxygen Kit, accompanying doctor/companion may be
input in the same PNR.

Else if Oxygen Support is required then companion like Doctor/Nurse/etc. is travelling along with Medical
Stretcher Passenger then PNR should be created separately like a normal PNR and both the PNR (PNR of
stretcher passenger and Travel Companion) should be cross referenced for Seat Allotment.

Steps to be followed while selling a segment for Stretcher Passenger

NM1 Sirname/Name Salutation (IDSTCR)

For Stretcher Request add MEDA Element through SSR

SRMEDA – Free Flow Text

SSSTCR- Free Flow Text

For adding Cabin Baggage (CBBG) with Supplementary Oxygen

SRCBBG- Supplementary Oxygen Kit

For PNR, with both Oxygen Kit and Stretcher Request , both CBBG and MEDA request should be added. If
Oxygen Kit is not required, then there is no need to add CBBG element

Name in PNR where ticket to be issued must always be for two It has to be created in the following format:

• EXST: 2<Family Name>/<Given Name><Salutation>/EXST


• CBBG: 2<Family Name>/<Given Name><Salutation>/CBBG
• STCR & CBBG: 2<Family Name>/<Given Name><Salutation>/CBBG

Pick up 2 seats in case of Cabin Baggage or Extra Seat and just add tags mentioned above as the first name of second
