Exercise Instructions

Use the following instructions on the Document that you are going to submit

1. The very first line should be the main heading (Heading 1) and should be centered. (2 Marks)

2. Change all the font settings to Times New Roman. The font size for the rest of the document,
excluding the main subheadings, should be 11 points 1 Marks)

The following are the main subheadings; make sure you can locate them within your
document: -

1) Part ONE
2) Part TWO
3) Part THREE
4) My STORY (To be added by Student)

Under “My STORY”, you should write, at least, ten (10) lines, to explain a little bit about
yourself. These ten lines must be in Size 11 font, and in two (2) columns, wrapped around a
picture, preferably of you, that you have inserted (4 Marks)

3. Change the line spacing throughout the document to 1.5 (1 Mark)

4. Format all the subheadings so that they are Boldfaced and Left aligned. They should
automatically be numbered 1,0-4.0. The font size should be 12.

Subheading 2 should be broken into 2.1 to 2.3 corresponding to PartTWO-1, PartTWO-2 and
PartTWO-3” which consequently become the titles of the paragraphs.

5. Further format the subheadings (1.0-4.0) in the following manner: - (4 Mark)

• Small-capped
• Font-Colour = FontColour
• Every sub-heading after the first, i.e. Part ONE, should appear on a new page.
• Sit on a Bottom Border

6. Include a header which reads Word-Processing Assignment (1 Mark)

7. Include a footer which has your ID Number and the text “CIN506 S2 NASNU “ (1 Marks)

8. Include the page number in the footer at the right (2 Marks)

9. Change the margin settings to: -

• Top & Bottom – 1” (2 Marks)

• Gutter 2” Left (2 Marks)

10. Change the Orientation to Landscape (1 Marks)

11. Insert a Word Art object that says “The End” at the bottom of the last page. (2 Marks)

12. Insert a cover-page for your document. Your cover-page should have the following: -

• Your College Name

• Your School Name
• Your Programme Name
• Your Course Code
• Your Course Name
• A clip-art object (3 Marks)
