ABSTRACT
The purpose of this research is to investigate the factors impacting Filipino language
proficiency among junior high school students at Pasig Catholic College. This is to deeply
understand what influences the students’ proficiency in the Filipino language in academic
settings. The researchers aim to conduct an online survey among the junior high school students
of Pasig Catholic College, with a target of at least 50 students per grade level. The survey will
focus on (a) language/s used at home and in school (b) frequency of Filipino language usage, and
(c) personal willingness to use and learn the Filipino language. The research instrument used will
be bar graphs to analyze the collected data and to determine the concluding factors for this
research.
