Experimentations
1. Three leaves stitching

Take three single stitched layers and stitch them together again. This will
lead to double stitching- original stitch and the second stiching to join the
three layers as in a stack.

Stack three leaves on top of one another. Let us call these stacks
trileaves. Sew trileaves together as we sew normal leaves to form a
layer. (Consider trileaves as one leaf)

Put this layer of trileaves sewn together under hydraulic press.

2. Three leaves without stitching

Take three layers of stitched leaves and stack them upon one another. Put
the stack under hydraulic press directly without any adhesive or stitching.
Check if the three layers stick to each other to form one bowl, or they
separate into three bowls.

3. Two leaves with card sheet (without adhesive)

Place card sheet between two layers and put the stack under hydraulic press
without any adhesive. Check if the layers stick due to heat and form one
sturdy

4. Two leaves with card sheet (with an adhesive)

Take a cardsheet, apply food grade adhesive on it from both sides and stick
one layer on each side. Mould it under the hudraulic press.

5. One leaf
Simple one leaf moulding. For purpose of checking various quality standards.

6. Two leaves stitching

Take two single stitched layers and stitch them together again. This will
lead to double stitching- original stitch and the second stiching to join the
two layers as in a stack.

Parameters to judge
1. Structural Rigidity
Whether the leaf plate is sloppy to hold in hand (grade I), just perfect which is
hard as well as with elasticity (grade II), or very rigid with no malleability
(grade III)

2. Leakage check
Keep water in the pattal for 30 mins and place it upon a tissue and check if
the pattal is leaking by checking if the tissue gets wet.

3. Looks
Whether the plate looks low quality or high quality.

4. Time required to form one sample

Time required for manufacturing one sample from start to end process

5. Weight
Weight in gms of a single sample

6. Durability

Stitching - Is the stitching sustaining or breaking out after some time.

Parameter testing
The parameter testing will be done twice on the same plate/bowl
1. Just after they are formed
2. One week after storing them

Results will be updated in an excel sheet which will be provided.

Product Development 2
The team will evaluate all the results and narrow down on two types of products :
1. Catering to lower quality - lower cost - lower profit market
2. Catering to higher quality - higher cost - higher profit market

Both types of products will be marketed and catered to different markets, the
research about which is being done by the marketing team.
