1. Access to the SURF Platform

• Log in to E-bridge ( https://ebridge.xjtlu.edu.cn/)
• On the navigation bar on top of the webpage, select “Research Support”

• You will see a dashboard screen like the one shown below. By clicking “My SURF Application”, you
will enter the page where you can add and modify your SURF application, and check the status of
enrollment.

2. Enter “SURF Application” page

• Enter the “SURF Application” page, and you could view the module where to select and check
your SURF application.

• Click “Download SURF List”, download the SURF project list to view the detailed information of
each project, you could find the SURF code in the list that you will use for apply in the later step.

Please note that students who are currently registered in stage 1, 2 or 3 of their undergraduate studies
at SIP campus, can apply to be a SURF research fellow for specific projects. Students can apply to a
maximum of three projects and only participate in one project in each year.

3. Select SURF projects

1) Click “Add” button to enter project selection page

2) Enter the SURF code to select the SURF project you would like to apply (the SURF code can be
found in the SURF List downloaded through this page), click “Run”;

3) Check the project detail information by clicking the project title, if the project is confirmed, click
the Add button under the Action column to select the project for your first choice(For external
project, general introduction of the host company can be download through the link beside the
company name).

Click “Back to Search Engine” button to go back to the search page for further search
requirement.

4) Upload your CV for PI’s review before submitting your selection. You are encouraged to upload
your CV with your previous education, research, internship experience, and any information that
may help with your application.

5) Check the project information and click submit. (Please make sure you have click the “Submit”
button to confirm your selection.)

6) Back to the main page, where you could view your selected SURF project in the first choice.

7) Select your second and third preferred choice as previous steps, now you have completed your
selection for all three SURF projects.

4. Modify or delete your selection

1) Once you have completed all three SURF projects’ selections, you could use the BLUE ARROW
button to drag your selections and to switch your preference.

2) If you intend to delete your selected project, you could click the RED button to delete the
current selection and add a new project instead.

Please note after the deadline, you could not change your selection anymore.

5. Check your admission result

• After the SURF Selection is completed, all student will receive an automatic email for
noticing the enrollment result, you could also check your result in the SURF Selection page
in the system as below:
