The humble journey began in 1934 in the name of Surya Chemical Works. The company was
started under the leadership of Sri B.R. Daga, a visionary who saw a need for ayurvedic and
cosmetic products in the Indian market.
The company started with its flagship product Tankar Ghrit Kumari Hair Oil, which soon became
one of the leading hair oils in those days. As it started to grow by leaps and bounds, the company
introduced a variety of products – Sahastra Pak (Body Pain Relief Oil), Balm, Kajal, Antiseptic Oil,
Amla Oil, etc. The hard work of the founder was carried forward by his sons and at present the
third generation is working tirelessly to take the company to newer heights.
In the year 2012, the company changed from being a partnership concern to a company with its
present name Surya Herbal Care Pvt. Ltd. The company’s motto has always been to deliver
quality products and has never been driven by the motive of profit only. The brand still uses
natural oils as the base for its products to retain their quality and hence, has been able to survive
in the growing competitive industry.
