ASSIGNMENT NUMBER 5

REY T. ENSEPEDO

1.What is the intended message of the video, and what is the implicit meaning it seeks to convey?
The intended message of the film appears to be on the significance of speaking up against injustice,
encouraging critical thinking, and enabling people to use their voices for what is right, based on the
presentation of the video. The video seems to communicate a few important concept.
The film seems to support taking a proactive approach to combating injustice, encouraging people to
speak out, become conscious, and contribute to the creation of a society that is more just and equal.
Injustice in the Classroom: The first scenario, which depicts an unjust dismissal of a student from class, is
a metaphor for more general forms of injustice in society.
Personal Accountability: The lecturer highlights that people may encounter injustice personally if they
don't actively seek to bring about justice. According to the video, it is bad for people and society as a
whole to ignore injustice.
The instructor's goals are to help the students become critical thinkers and to teach them the power of
their voices. Speaking out for what is right means defying the majority in this situation.

2.How does the video impact or relate to ethical considerations and social responsibility
The moral obligation of identifying and confronting injustice is emphasized in the novel, as is the social
duty of individuals to actively participate in the development of a more moral and just society. It
advocates for the notion that moral conduct and social duty are dynamic ideas that call for active
participation and support
It emphasis on critical thinking and the power of one's voice suggests a call to action. Social
responsibility, in this context, involves using one's influence to advocate for justice, fairness, and ethical
behavior, not only for oneself but also for others who may be affected. The instructor's role in teaching
critical thinking and ethical decision-making skills reflects a broader societal responsibility to educate
and empower individuals with the tools to navigate ethical dilemmas and contribute positively to the
community.
It implies a call to action by emphasizing critical thought and the strength of one's voice. In this sense,
social responsibility refers to using one's power to speak up in favor of justice, equity, and moral
conduct for both oneself and any potential affected parties. Teaching students how to think critically
and make moral decisions is part of the instructor's larger social duty to equip them with the knowledge
and skills they need to make moral decisions and give back to their communities.
What insights have you learned from the topics discussed this evening?
I learnt the following insights:
Fairness is when everyone is treated equally and no one is left out. People that are fair follow the rules
in sports, games, activities, and in their community. They are honest and trustworthy. They follow
Eleanor Roosevelt's quote “It is not fair to ask of others what you are unwilling to do yourself.”
The concepts of justice and fairness play a crucial role in shaping human behavior and society as a
whole. They provide a framework for determining what is right and wrong, and help to ensure that
individuals are treated equitably.
My newfound understanding is that each individual contributes to the fair and just functioning of our
society, and that it is necessary to consider what is just and moral, to care for people and our
community, and to consider what is right and fair. expressing that everyone can and should practice
being just and responsible every day to improve everyone's quality of life is akin to expressing that these
qualities aren't merely lofty ideals.
