The table compares the average weekly pays by occupation and gender in the year 2015.

Overall, men earned more money than women in all types of profession. We can also see that
professionals were the highest paying jobs for both sexes while weekly pay for manual laborers was
the lowest.

Regarding professionals, men earned $2000 per week whereas their counterparts had average
earnings of $1900. The average weekly pays for service workers and administrative/ clerical workers
were the second highest earners, with the figures being relatively equal with $1300 and $1350 for
men workers compared to $950 and $1000 for women employees.

In terms of other remaining occupations, male technicians were paid $1400 per week on average,
$500 higher compared to their counterparts, making it the widest gender salary gap. Manual
laborers had the least weekly income with males earning an average of $1100 per week, $250 higher
than their counterparts’ income.
