In today’s society, we cannot deny the benefits of technology brings to us.

However, numerous
people believe that the introduction of technology cause more troubles than it solves. In my opinion,
I oppose with the school of thought.

Technology can provide solutions to various problems, especially in medical and natural disaster
problems. Regarding medical issues, before technology appear, people suffered from various disease
which cause millions of deaths. Thanks to technology, human discovered vaccine to deal with fatal
diseases. Take smallpox as an example, this used to be one of the deadliest infectious diseases in
human history but when vaccine was found, smallpox became the first disease eradicated from Earth
by humankind. Moreover, modern cutting edge diagnostic equipment helps medical practitioner
diagnose and treat more precisely and quickly. Consequently, patients will recover faster and suffer
less pain.

Another benefit of advanced technology is the prediction of natural disasters. With satellite
technology, which allow people inform an accurate statistic of direction, intensity, effective ranges
and potential vulnerable local areas of a hurricane. As a result, local authority can take action
beforehand such as evacuating, strengthening infrastructure and preparing for humanity support to
minimize the damages to the properties and humans.

It is understandable why some think that technology brings back more problems. Because of
technological revolution in industrial field, many people have been laid off, leading to a higher
unemployment rate. However, this argument can be weakened when we consider the factor of new
information technology being created which attracted numerous high educated workforces
especially in developing countries.

In conclusion, I hold the view that many problems can be solved by technology and we cannot blame
technology for causing troubles because the main reason for pressing issues facing human originate
from human activities. If technology is used with responsibility, human can benefit enormously from
it.
