It is just ignorance to discount the positive effects technology has had on so many people

over such an extended period, from the lowering of sickness to the extension of life to the rise in

food and health, and to think of technology as a tool that runs us. Although not everyone benefits

equally from technical improvements, some may even have disproportionately harmful effects;

this does not lessen the worth of the innovations to society (Cath, 2021). Instead, it ought to

inspire society to increase those advantages for everybody, find equality, and lessen the adverse

effects. As a result, I do not think we are on the verge of a civilization where technology rules

supreme. For everyone who believes we are moving closer to a dystopian society, when did we

get there, and at what point in technical development would they have claimed to be in control of

the populace? Probably before the Iron Age, possibly with the invention of the semiconductor or

transistor, the emergence of social media, or perhaps with the birth of artificial intelligence?

Although I do not believe that we have reached paradise, technology does prevent us from

reaching a dystopian future. It keeps us searching for the subsequent excellent treatment,

improvement, or invention.

I believe that a lot of the most recent technological development has created a much more

effective, empowered, and convenient world. This makes it simpler than ever for people to take

care of themselves. Take smartphones, the technology that is most often utilized. Modern cell

phones may be utilized to enhance life in practically countless ways. It is incredibly liberating to

have access to the internet and hence practically all of the human knowledge.

Additionally, a library of always growing and developing programs offers remarkable

capability (Kummitha, 2020). This cannot be referred to as being run by technology since using

this technology and incorporating it into our everyday routines is arguably the most

straightforward approach to enhancing life and taking care of ourselves. Mobile devices and

social media have been helpful for activist groups and issues related to humanitarianism by

providing individuals a voice and a platform to communicate, organize, and mobilize (Martinez

et al., 2019). Mobile devices and social media were necessary for the Arab Spring protests.

NGOs also use unmanned drones to transport aid to conflict areas and environmental

organizations to monitor wrongdoing.

Technology has two sides to it. It may make us into its slaves if we let it. It is up to us to

prevent feeling like we are being controlled by it. We should put more faith in our talents than

technology because it is only a tool. People in industrialized nations request the ability to

disconnect to avoid thinking about work. Companies are already incorporating components into

workplace cultures to help workers feel valued (Cath, 2021). This is progressive, and a step

toward creating a society where people feel like they are in control and that technology serves

them, not the other way around.

Additionally, I may contend that individuals are preserving and enhancing their ties with

their friends, family, and other relatives by using technology. Many individuals also interact with

one another to support the less fortunate and motivate one another. Thus, we now have more

effective instruments for fostering human connections. A tool, technology is all. It all depends on

us how we perceive it.
