In the contemporary phase of technological development, especially in the drastic breakthrough of

technology platforms., we are familiar with using smart and convenient techniques. It may have seemed
inconceivable for modern humans to keep technology at bay, but its direct effects are obviously
undeniable. Since state-of-the-art technology appeared, it has brought many positive influences on culture
shock and human activities. However, other people contend that far from benefiting traditional
civilizations, modern technology is endangering them and bringing darker aspects to contemporary
society. Technology has an impact on our culture that can be both benefits and drawbacks. Since
electronic advances including cell phones, computers, and TVs (GeeksforGeeks, 2022) are created by
humans and reflect a population's desires and lifestyle at their core, human societies and technology have
become intricately interwoven. This essay's goals are to first outline the beneficial and harmful ways that
technology has impacted on culture shock and human endeavors and then to provide examples of both
types of outcomes This essay examines the impacts of contemporary technologies on traditional cultures.
For instance, modern technologies made it simple for information on culture to be shared with the world
via digital platforms, raising the human population's awareness and the vital role that modern technology
may bring to traditional cultures.
With society being complicated, people have lost faith in technology because of technology abuse.
Inevitably, international students cannot avoid suffering from culture shock. As a result, they have to get
used to adapting to the new cultures of different civilizations. 'Impact of technology on the Perceptions of
Culture Shock' by Ibrahim Kurt views culture shock from the digital era perspective and how to use
technology efficiently, especially, in the progress of minimizing culture shock. The findings emphasize
that digital technology such as the Internet and social media are the main factors in spreading cultures.
Digital technology is willing to help people comprehend various cultures from different countries all over
the world without traveling. Our phones can be used to contact local authorities or to call for assistance.
Our technical devices, such as laptops and mobile phones, can keep information private using state-of-
the-art security measures (LifeWorks, 2020). In addition, to have a greater understanding of the place
where they are studying abroad, international students must have access to the Internet, making mobile
phones essential equipment. For instance, websites, blogs, forums, social networks, and applications can
provide us with up-to-date information as we settle in, such as the hours that stores are open and closed,
how to use public transportation, where to find a doctor, and where to go shopping. We can become more
socially and professionally adept by learning regional customs and etiquette (LifeWorks, 2020). Besides
the benefits that technology brings to international students, there may be potential risks that affect their
studies. Traditional cultures are negatively impacted by technology and vice versa. When we continue to
live traditionally without the development of mass media, we fall behind the times. We are unable to
access the internet, keep up with events throughout the globe, or even just stay within our bubble of
knowledge. Moreover, relying too heavily on technology can cause us to forget how we used to live. For
instance, a child who is exposed to technology at a young age does not have a fulfilling childhood filled
with traditional outdoor activities like kite flying and river swimming (Joseph, 2022). The aforementioned
reasons have shown the importance of technology in various cultural fields, notwithstanding its
downsides.
the fact that Almost every aspect of our daily lives is impacted by technology. With the power of the
Internet, it is now easier to exchange ideas and resources and to create worldwide communities.
Technology has both eliminated a gap and created one. Technology has both closed and opened a gap.
The author of "Impact of Technology on Culture, Tradition, and Social Values," Chukwuemeka, noted
that because we rely on technology far too much, human interactions cannot be substituted by it. People
can experience virtual distance when they are physically present but are separated from one another
because they are engrossed in a technology gadget, such as a laptop, smartphone, or tablet (Wardynski,
2022). We use electronic devices constantly and are engrossed in them for long periods. Unfortunately,
we become so accustomed to using electronic devices that we unintentionally change our sleeping habits
to reflect this. We become engrossed in online activities and the never-ending flow of information, which
captures our attention (Dennis, 2022). Being addicted to technology is affecting us in more ways than we
think. We are constantly relying on our phones for checking for the latest news. For example, due to the
ease of texting and calling one another in place of face-to-face communication, individuals no longer
engage with one another. Another example is that individuals no longer have a feeling of time since they
constantly check their phones or watches rather than a clock or a wall clock when they need to know what
time it is (Ehab, 2022). On the other hand, somewhere along the positive or negative axis, however, there
is more benefit. Therefore, trying to ignore or dismiss the technological process is nonsensical. We create
things to make our lives more comfortable, safer, healthier, and more intriguing. Oliinyk (2019)
highlighted that numerous procedures in the economy, at work, and in daily life are automated as a result
of the introduction of innovation. A variety
of already-existing applications have been created to make our lives easier. For instance, we utilize
mobile phones if you need to calculate. The auto-correction program will fix any mistakes you make
when writing an important document. Moreover, many cultures are absorbed by an ever-growing culture
that is strongly reliant on technology as a result of the increasing intertwining of societies and cultures in
a globalized world, frequently via technology. For instance, both ATMs and online and mobile banking
have removed the requirement to engage with a bank teller while making financial transactions, saving
time, resources, and overhead while boosting job efficiency and effectiveness (Wardynski, 2019).
In conclusion, technology provides advantages and disadvantages that affect human activities and culture
shock. As technology becomes more widespread, individuals should learn how to effectively use it
without becoming overly dependent on it. Due to the fact that people frequently make use of technology
as a beneficial resource for personal reasons, this tendency will continue for a very long
time. Researchers are still looking for ways to stop individuals from using technology excessively, which
could negatively impact their daily life. It is undeniable that technology may offer us a number of
advantages and comforts. Technology may completely replace us if we are unable to use it effective
