Task 1:

The given diagram illustrates the project of a medical center in 2008 and in 2010.

Overall, it is manifest from the diagram that, there were lots of changes that were made in just
two years.

According to the diagram, in 2008, the main entrance was opened to the waiting room that led
towards the north side. In the waiting room, staff office and reception were there. To the right
side of the waiting room, a laboratory was opened which also had access from the waiting room.
On the northwest side, the treatment room was opened. From the right side of the treatment
room, there was three doctor's office which also opened the door to the corridor.

In 2010, looking southwestward an education room and mother and child room were
constructed. The pharmacy was designed on the southeast side behind the laboratory which
also opened the door to the corridor. Interestingly, a doctor's office turned into small and
converted to four instead of three officers. The storeroom was added to the northeast side just
after the doctor's room.

Task 2 :

The issue of increasing in the production of consumer goods has aroused people’s discussion.
Recently, numerous negative effects have arisen as a result of natural environment’s damage and
societies can take steps to mitigate these potential problems.

There are two primary reasons why natural environment has damaged by the development in
goods that are consumed by humans. In my opinion, the foremost cause of increasing goods is people’s
demand has increased in the contemporary times, so most people need to consume goods that are able
to improve their living standards. Several related problems can be anticipated when an amount of
chemical and toxic wastes have been released into the environment when producing goods to meet the
people’s needs. This leads to the unbalance of eco-system. Another problem is it may threat the
habitation of the oceanic creatures. In a result, the environment may lose the biodiversity.

There are a number of viable solutions to deal with these problems. The first solutions would be
the government should encourage people to should use fabric products instead of plastic. This can
minimize a number of plastic products release into the environment. The second measure would be the
government should impose a strict law about reducing wastes and exhaust fumes from companies that
are producing goods. If these wastes and exhaust fumes are higher than allowable level, these
companies ought to be punished. As a result, these solutions may bring balance again to the
environment.

In conclusion, it is clear that there are various reasons for increasing the production of consumer
goods. There are various negative effects of harming to our environment. I believe that appropriate
steps need to be taken to tackle these problems.
