These days, people often use things in a short time then throw them away. Why
is it the case? What effect can it cause?

There have been numerous problems related to the throw away culture. Nowadays,
consumers utilize the products for a short period of time then discard them. In this essay, I am
going to discuss the reasons and the consequences of this issue.

There are two reasons why consumers use the items for a short period of time then dispose of
them. The first reason would be that today's products are cheap and easily replaced. In fact,
the mass production allows companies to cut down the costs and sell their products at a
cheaper rate. The factories or companies may use low quality materials that are easily broken.
Therefore, the customers become accustomed to making new purchases more regularly
instead of repairing their old items. The second reason would be that the consumerist society
is bombarded with a wide range of newly released products. Indeed, the products become
old- fashioned quickly and the consumers buy new things to catch up with the latest trends.
For example, “Apple” releases their new products every year. Therefore, the customers get
bored with the old versions and try to stay up-to-date by purchasing new products more
frequently.

There are two consequences of the throw-away lifestyle. The first problem would be that the
throw-away lifestyle has a negative impact on the enviroment. In fact, it causes pollution and
other enviroment problems and also contribute to the increase if the greenhouse gas
emissions. Therefore, the throw away lifestyle affects the health of humans and wildlife. The
second problem would be that the natural resources is depleted. Indeed, the companies need
the raw material and energy for the production process but they are non renewable resources.
Because of that, those companies need to exploit the natural resources that lead the damage of
the natural resources of our Earth in the future.
In conclusion, the throw-away lifestyle originate from the cheap price of the products and the
usual appreance of the new products. And this lifestyle can harm our enviroment and the
Earth’s natural resouces. We need to figure out the reuse our item in order to improve the
situation of this issue.
