Stage 1: Technology and its effects on environment.

 Write about technological advancement and the effect on the ecosystem.

The technological advance has contributed to the improvement of the quality of life
that we have today, in areas such as education, health and communication have been
positive, in terms of the environment I think that in informative aspects has been the
most positive because it has allowed use the mass media to reach more people and
create awareness to protect the environment through campaigns.

The negative consequences have been many since industrialization, waste

management and waste generated have been devastating for the environment and
irreversible so much so that the climate changes that we have today are largely due to
bad processes and lack of preservation culture.

Stage 2: Technology and global warming.

 Write a paragraph answering this question: What do you think will happen if
current trends of technology development and consumerism continue? You can
use the following vocabulary for the text.
According to experts the emotions influence much people, so when there is
excessive advertising tells people that need all that is seen and has caused the
world a phenomenon known as consumerism, technological advances are
increasingly frequently, they are more conspicuous and affect our society more
than ever.
When there is excessive consumption companies exploit this situation by
creating products of short duration, thus forcing his replacement nearly that
immediately and we know that a culture of recycling and reuse there is in the
majority of countries, not be practice or It promotes recycling, this is why people
often discarded objects can be given to a second use or that can be
remanufactured.
I think that this kind of behaviour have a negative impact on the environment,
while most occur most affects the environment, more resources are used and
more environmental pollution is generated, thus affecting the environment and
generating climate change.
Although I tend to believe that consumerism contributes to economic growth on
the other hand has been that it also contributes to poverty, social inequality since
the cost of living increase, it takes society to make unnecessary purchases
increasing costs many products by high demand.
 If current consumption trends continue, the society will be increasingly obsessive
compulsive consumption and will be unsustainable in the long run and there will
be a resource deficits, that has become necessary to study how to consume and
what effects has this made on the environment and society

Stage 3: What can be done?

 Write your advice on how we can contribute to the improvement of current

environmental crisis. Use the following vocabulary for the text.

We can contribute to improve the current environmental crisis in many ways, for
example.
That the governments make strongly implant the norms of the environment and
the big industries.
United Nations bad environmental practices that are focused against the
environment.
That the entities responsible for caring, protecting and enforcing.
That existing policies on the conservation of the environment are an obligation for
all organizations and thus minimize bad environmental practices.
It is necessary to begin to change our consumer mentality and demand from
manufacturers the creation of technologies that respect the environment that
contribute to a cleaner world.
I recommend, in addition, we must begin to improve the environment in our
homes with simple tasks such as recycling, reusing, and replacing chemicals as
organic products among many other tasks and customs that we can improve.
Small changes can achieve great transformations.

The technology has been of great importance for humans because it has allowed
us to change the lifestyle that we know today, as with the advancement of this
has given us communication shorten distances and reaching almost everyone
quickly and personal , knowledge perform various tasks more easily and with
less time. In many areas the technological influence has been so great that the
forms of work have been transformed and is much easier to learn and work. In
education it has allowed learning in a way more teaching by means of devices
and programs help create classes where it captures the attention of students and
even encourage them to learn through fun. Also revolutionized the way of
learning to distance and many people who previously did not have the distance
today can make access to education virtually.
Not only revolutionized education, communications, access to health and to life
itself because most people nowadays dependents of different technological
equipment that exist now, have become but also to the environment because to
allowed that access to the knowledge of the problems and preventions to
preserve nature and resources that this gives us, different technologies that help
to get energy without the use of non-renewable resources and thus preserve
them for that are designed last much longer, and many more benefits.
Describe all the positive aspects that has brought the technology to mankind and
the environment would lengthen this text, but not everyone has been so
wonderful, unfortunately also has its negative especially in environmental effects
such as pollution from industries and overuse of power causing a greenhouse
that they damage the ozone layer, the poor management of solid waste which
are devices that are manufactured and which are difficult to remove because
materials are plastic or nuclear waste, alteration of ecosystems with mining
operations for obtaining of raw material among other things.
All of these effects both positive and negative that has caused the technology on
the environment are the result of the development that the human being has
wanted to implement to find both economic, social and cultural well-being but
without measuring the consequences It can cause to the environment.

As a person consents and possibly affected or beneficiary of all these effects it

has caused technological advancement I would contribute with proposals that
would help us improve the positive and change the negative trying to be
proposed reasonable and easy to carry out.

Environmental awareness campaigns there are many and all existing media what
I propose is to take them to schools from elementary to higher education in a
dynamic and objective, can be in the form of a matter or Chair of compulsory in
each institution both public and private; enable industries to all personnel in the
care and handling of environmental regulations and to carry out compulsorily.
I propose to be mandatory because human beings do not yet have that culture of
care or desire to learn about natural resources to keep stable.
Create tougher laws for those that threaten the environment of a form directly or
indirectly by applying fines or citations that really affects them, and do not
continue with these activities that destroy nature.
Logistical and financial support to all companies or people who contribute with
their products or services to improve or conserve the environment, also
encouraging everyone else to join these efforts.

Recycling has increased considerably but a subject that lacks a lot to improve,
that is why I believe that not only in big cities but also in medium-sized and small
towns should be more aggressive educational campaigns on This topic and that
through the companies of toilet in each region carried out recycling processes to
achieve a reasonable goal and so the decontamination of many rivers, lakes,
lagoons, etc.

I hope that through this text this UN body, led by such influential programs
worldwide as the ODS (sustainable development objectives) can mitigate the
uses incorrect, inappropriate or simply out of control, of certain developments
technology, of those who in a wasteful effort to comfort, profit, power, use
technological resources without previously analyzing the ecological, social and
human consequences that may lead to its use and abuse.

Do not want to let you know things that you already know but if you want to know
the perception that I have about technological progress that exists in modern
times as a common citizen and like this to positive and negative consequences
brought to our planet.

taken into account the contributions of a person who yearns for that we can leave
 to the future generation a world where There are so many environmental
problems so it is not affecting their social, physical and cultural development.
