Ask the students to work in pairs and match the pictures and the sentences. Write the letter of the
pieture next to the sentence.

2. Pre-teach the following key vocabulary.

Photocopy the picture below and hand it out to pairs of students. Ask them to work together to label the
picture with the words above.

3. Pre-teach the following vocabulary on the subject of school.

classroom chalk chair desk corridor head teacher

srudent take notes teacher write blackboard answer questions

Ask the students to arrange the words into three groups: People, Things in School, Things Students do
at School. Elicit an example of one word for each group. Ask the students to work with a partner and
put the rest of the words in the box in the correct group.
