SUB: LEGAL NOTICE UNDER SECTION 138 OF THE NEGOTIABLE

INSTRUMENTS ACT, 1881

Dear Sir,
Under the instructions received and on behalf of my esteemed client, Mr. Mark,
residing in Civil Lines, New Delhi-110002 (hereinafter referred to as 'my client'), I
extend to you the following formal notice:

1. My client is actively engaged in the business of trading coffee machines. In the

usual course of business, you, as the addressee, procured coffee machines from my
client. In consideration thereof, you issued a cheque bearing No. 823769, dated
01/12/2023, drawn on Union Bank of India, Branch Okhla, New Delhi-110062,
amounting to Rs.2,00,000/-. This cheque was intended as partial payment towards
discharging your liability arising from the purchase of the aforementioned coffee
machines from my client.

2. Subsequently, the mentioned cheque was presented by my client to his banking

institution, Punjab National Bank Ltd., located at 32, Karol Bagh, New Delhi, for
encashment on 05/12/2023.
3. Regrettably, the said cheque was returned to my client accompanied by an
endorsement indicating "Dishonoured for insufficiency of funds." The dishonored
cheque, along with the corresponding bank's memo dated 05/12/2023, was duly
returned to my client.

4. It was only on 06/12/2023 that my client became aware of the dishonor of the
aforementioned cheque.

5. In light of the dishonor of the cheque, you, as the addressee, are deemed to have
committed offenses punishable under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act,
1881, as amended up to date.

Through this formal notice, I hereby demand that you, the addressee, remit the sum of
Rs.2,00,000/-, representing the amount of the dishonored cheque, within fifteen days
from the date of receipt of this notice. Failing compliance within the stipulated
timeframe, my client will be compelled to initiate legal action against you,
encompassing both civil and criminal proceedings, at your own peril regarding costs
and ensuing consequences.
