you feel happy and flattered, it makes you forget your problem for a

It’s good to talk- have someone you're close with to talk to, it can be your close friend or
family member and enjoy their company.
Distract yourself- it could be watching tv, surfing the internet, scrolling through your news

Don’t give in to negative thinking- if you’re having thoughts about it, then quickly change

Spend time outside- have a technology and social media detoxification and just be one with

Treating oneself is a form of managing emotions and is important to every individual

Having a positive action towards a given problem can become a solution depending
on what you do. For instance, if you are given an assignment by your teacher and you answer
it then it becomes a positive action that becomes a solution towards a given problem but if
you just chilling and relaxing because you’re stressed about the given assignment then it, not
a solution. Although chilling and relaxing because of the stress that the assignment brings is

person?

The importance of being assertive to the well-being and the holistic development of a
person is that it builds one’s confidence. It also helps a person to control stress and gives
peace of mind.

5. Give your own definition of the word "assertive". Discuss one situation basing on your
past experiences that you have showed assertiveness

My understanding about “assertive” is learning to say no sometimes to the additional

workload that your friends, colleague, or co-worker are giving to you in such a manner that
they will not be hurt or insulted by the way you turn them down or say “no” to them. In my
experience, there’s this one time that a friend of mine wanted my help with the same task that
we are having but I politely decline my friend in such a way that my classmate will not be
insulted or misunderstand of me saying “no”. Since I know, that if I accepted it, I will be the
one to suffer and have to work rush and double-time to meet the deadlines of our given task
that we both have.
