Teacher Payout policy - Oct’ 23 V2 (Bangladesh)

Fees: You will be paid remuneration as per the conditions enumerated below:

A. Remuneration:
a. Class type-wise duration is as follows -
i. Trial class - 30 mins
ii. 1:1 course class - 45 mins
iii. Group course class - 60 mins
b. 265 BDT per completed course class in day shift.
c. 390 BDT per completed course class in the night shift. ( class from 1am to 7am in
teacher timezone)

d. Trial class incentives for completed trial on Mon-Fri:

Saturday & Sunday, there will be an automatic increment of 10% in your trial incentive
as per your slab.
e. Codingal Plus class payout
i. Teachers will receive payouts on basis of number of attendees in the group
class

f. 23 BDT per incomplete class in day shift for trial classes only.

i. 1140 BDT per teacher referral who completes three (3) months
j. 60 BDT for every PTM call after every 2 modules (or as conveyed by the customer
success team)
k. 60 BDT for every doubt class completed with students
l. Incentive for new sale/ conversion
● 400 BDT per student for each new student conversion in a month
m. Incentive for upsell/renewal
● Min 60% renewal in the month to be eligible for any renewal incentive
● Codingal Plus - BDT 265 per student (1060 for batch of 4)
● Codingal Prime - BDT 1320 per student

n. Performance Incentive
i. BDT 750 performance incentive for those who get 5 or more conversions in a
given month.
ii. BDT 1550 performance incentive for those who get 10 or more conversions
in a given month.
o. 13200 BDT bonus on completing 400 course classes in 3 months, without canceling
any class or defaulter in any case.
Note: Incentives will be calculated on a quarterly basis.
The 4 quarters are :
January - March
April - June
July - September
October- December
p. If a teacher fails to maintain the minimum promised availability for any month then
the company will impose a penalty of 10% on the total payout for the month.
B. Minimum Guarantee:

a. Minimum guarantee (MG) pay for 150+ slots in a month


i. For 1 month MG - 9000 BDT
ii. For 2 month MG - 12500 BDT
iii. From 3 month onwards MG - 16000 BDT
b. Minimum guarantee (MG) pay for 175+ slots in a month
i. For 1 month MG - 13500 BDT
ii. For 2 month MG - 17000 BDT
iii. From 3 month onwards MG - 21500 BDT
c. Minimum guarantee (MG) pay for 200+ slots in a month
i. For 1 month MG - 14500 BDT
ii. For 2 month MG - 18000 BDT
iii. From 3 month onwards MG - 22500 BDT
d. Minimum guarantee (MG) pay for 225+ slots in a month
i. For 1 month MG - 18000 BDT
ii. For 2 month MG - 19500 BDT
iii. From 3 month onwards MG - 24000 BDT
e. No minimum guarantee (MG) pay if availability is less than 150 slots in the month.
f. MG policy will only be applicable for teachers who got at least 3 conversions in the
given month (90% of teachers are able to get this.)
g. No minimum guarantee (MG) pay applicable after 6 months of employment.

Vacation, availability, class cancellation and no-show policy

a. The teacher needs to plan their next month's availability by the 20th of the previous
month and lock their calendars accordingly.
b. After the 20th of the month, teachers are still free to remove or add availability for
the upcoming month, but it cannot be changed if a class is booked. They can only be
canceled in emergencies, with the following rules to be taken into consideration:
i. Teachers can make 3 informed cancellations of trial and course classes in a
month, given that it is informed 72 hrs in advance.
ii. Teachers can make 3 emergency cancellations of trial and course classes in a
month by giving at least 2-hour notice (though they should use it very
sparingly)
iii. Change in class schedule from the teacher's end, either prepone or
postpone, is also considered cancellations.
iv. If a cancellation is made not satisfying the above rules, then the company
will charge a penalty of BDT 396 per class.
v. BDT 660 will be deducted for canceling a class with a notice period of less
than 2 hours.

c. Teachers are entitled to 16 leaves besides 1 weekly off and 3 national holidays in a
year, namely:
I. Language Movement Day ( 21st feb)
Ii. Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s Death Anniversary ( 15th Aug)
Iii. Independence Day ( 26th Mar)

But, you have the option to work on these days as well. 16 leaves are allotted in a
year, considering January to December. These leaves will be allotted on a pro-rata
basis depending on the joining month.

d. To utilize leaves from the 16 yearly leaves in any given month, a teacher needs to
apply for it by the 20th of the previous month.
e. If a teacher takes more than 16 leaves in a year, will charge a penalty of BDT 1320 for
those days on which a class is scheduled.
f. BDT 1320 will be deducted for No-Show (Teacher does not join the class, without
informing the RM and Student) and 1 warning.
g. The teacher can add available slots to the calendar at any time.
h. If a teacher is disconnected for any reason during a live session, a penalty of BDT 396
will be imposed as it affects the student experience.
i. BDT 396 will be deducted if any class is hampered and incomplete after the class start
time because of the teacher. Teachers are requested to have WIFI and electricity
backup if these resources are not reliable at their end.

Miscellaneous notes:

If a class is not recorded or feedback for the class is not submitted on time, the payout for that class
will not be released

Payment will be done by the 5th working day (of the bank) of next month based on the earnings
calculated as per the payout structure mentioned in the agreement or as defined from time to
time.

Teacher will be eligible for a payout only if they work for 30 days. If you take a exit before 30 days
due to any reasons ( discontinuation, resignation) , company will not be liable to pay any salary.
