assistant. Student assistant (SA) are enrolled students who have been

hired to provide services on a campus, student assistant is working under

the supervision of the principal and the direction of the teachers or other

professional. Study habits are the ways that you study, it’s a process from

which an individual gets proper input to feed his hunger and to quench his

thrust for knowledge.

Being a student assistant is a very hard task, you have to be prepared

specially, in managing your time, organizing or making some strategies or

study habits in order for you to catch up easily on what you are studying.

According to a study of seek learning website that if you’re studying part-

time around work, one of the greatest challenges can be finding time and

motivation. There are some study habits that can help you manage your

time and find the right balance. The first study habit is you have to “Be

open about your situation”, you should know your obligations to what you

have to do, to both your employer and your study commitments.

You should inform your employer that you’re studying while working so that

they will not expect too much from you. They may be happy to know that
you are hardworking person in aiming your goals that makes them help you

on your study goals. The second study habit is to “Space it out”. You

should adjust your time and make it flexible to do more things. Make a

space on your one week studying and organize it. In that way, you’ll feel

that your time is not limited and you’ll not feel busy. Third study habit, “Get

into a routine”. You need to be responsible as a student and employer if

ever you have to attend your exams so let your boss know it or give

him/her an excuse that you are no longer work overtime. The fourth study

habit “Set mini goals”. You’ll need to maximize every hour you dedicate to

study. Knowing what you want to achieve from each session and setting

mini goals, can help you stay on task and be more time efficient. Fifth study

habit is “Make smart sacrifices”. You need to make some sacrifices to avoid

feeling like missing out. Like skipping just one hour of TV each night to be

best option and you can always catch up on your favourite show when your

study is complete. The sixth and last study habit is “ Remember that this is

temporary”. When times get tough and your motivation fades, always

remember that your situation is just temporary. Think about your reasons

for studying to become successful in the future. Remind yourself that the

small sacrifices you are making now will pay off when you aimed your

goals. In creating a good study environment allows you to maximize your

learning efficiency, a good study environment serves as a catalyst for

productive effort. According to Dr. Reena Rani among the various social
groups, home occupies the first and most important place for development

of the individual. Providing a happy home environment encouraging the

students as a follow a fixed timetable for studies and assignment of

responsibilities in the family are essential component strutting a conducive

home environment.

A lot of us listen to music while we read, write, and research.

Research has shown that studying with headphones on tends to decrease

memory and information retention, while background music can be a study

aid.

According to the past study of Riza Mae M. De Torres and Ma.

Gelene V. Garcia, Work is becoming increasingly common among college

students. A lot of students are engaged a part-time or full-time job and most
of the student find their hard moments in adjusting to college life and

managing their time effectively. Most of them are students who do not have

any option but to work while going to school because they are partially

responsible in paying their education needs. Working in college can be very

difficult for a student. They are most likely to be puzzled on what to

prioritize first, study or academic things family commitments and other

activities so they need to have proper time management.

According to Gemma Acaling and Reynaldo Tabada Jr. as the year

of level of students in school becomes higher, their study habits defer from

time to time. The kind of study habits they had shows the difference or

improvements in how they become skilled and earnest about learning new

things. Studying does not only include the preparation of student to excel in

class but also reinforcements of the lessons already taught. The effects of

study habits of student academic performances rely on how they practiced

their own study habits. Many of these are actually common sense and the

key is the application of strong study tools and not actually in the tools in all

together.
