“I have only listened to
short clips of podcasts
on TikTok/Youtube”
The podcast I picked is ‘The Always Sunny Podcast’, as
I am a fan of the show and really like the cover of the
podcast.

The bright yellow background immediately makes me

feel as though the podcast will be quite relaxed and
comedic.

There are three faces on the cover; they are the three
hosts, with artwork depicting the characters they play
in the TV show as well as their names underneath so
you know who is who. The artwork of their characters
is from some of the funniest moments in the show, so
this leads me to believe it won’t be a serious podcast.

As the TV show is rated 15, I believe the target

audience is 15+, as the podcast is reflecting on the TV
show and will most likely talk about mature themes.
Without even reading the title, I can tell this is a music based
podcast by the headphones placed in the centre and the guitar
headstock poking out from the top of it.

The title ‘rock squad’ makes it known that the podcast is not
only a music podcast, but more specifically a rock music
podcast. This is a good way to make it clear to the audience
what genre of music they will be talking about before listening
to the podcast.

The bright colours, the gold tint, the symbols surrounding the
headstock and top of the headphones, as well as the way
‘podcast’ is presented leads me to believe this podcast won’t
entirely be serious, and that they will talk positively about rock
music.

I think the target audience would be all audiences who like

rock music, or even just music in general and are looking to
expand their tastes.
The title of the podcast, made to look like police tape,
placed in the centre of the cover in bold text,
immediately makes it known that the podcast is about
true crime.

The iconic landmarks shown in the skyline tells us that

it's set in the UK. The way they’ve mirrored the skyline
to include handcuffs and various weapons such as a
knife and a chainsaw tell us that the podcast will
include mature topics such as violence, and that they
might cover cases where everything is not as it seems.

The background, splattered with different shades of

orange, look like it was made to resemble blood.

I think the target audience would be 18+, as it handles

topics of murder and violence.
