 ABOUT ME
My name is Mika, I’m 17 and I am
studying Level 2 media at Gloucester
College. Since I was a toddler, I have
been interested in film/tv due to my
dad hosting ‘film nights’ with our
family and I am interested in being a
cinematographer/screenwriter. My
main interests are cinematography,
art, criminology and music, and I love
incorporating these into film. In my
spare time, I like to write & in my head
I imagine how I could transform these
scenes to the screen.
 WHAT DO I WANT TO BE FOR
THE SHORT FILM?

 What relevant skills & experience do you have in this field?
I have experience with cameras since I have
been raised around them and have been
interested in them from a young age. I have
passed a photography course. In my current
media course, I was DoP for a documentary
and have assisted with the camera work for
our other projects.
My skills include being able to plan shots
beforehand, good
teamwork/communication, following
instructions from the director/producer,
understanding how to convey different
emotions in my shots and being able to
adapt my shots depending on the genre of
film.
Where do you see yourself in five
years’ time?
I see myself in university, either studying
film or criminology/forensics. The main
university I have in mind right now is
Falmouth University in Cornwall, or if I What is a weakness of yours?
choose criminology, I hope to make it into I sometimes have issues being
