My Pitch

My Idea
For my film magazine, will be to talk about a new upcoming horror film and it
will have some new but famous actors introduced through this film. The
magazine will be available to the audience on a majority of platforms, so a lot
of people will be able to access it. The colour scheme I am using will be black
and red, as these colours represent darkness and blood, as this horror film will
be quite gory, I have decided to change the age rating of my film, as it is
meant for people still in school it will be a 16, but people under that age will
be able to watch it with parental supervision, the viewers will be either with a
parent or be in their teens. I will be using Max Beavis as my main actor, he is a
famous upcoming actor and is known well for his previous small movie roles. I
will be using focus groups, and questionnaires so the audience can discuss my
idea, this way they can give their own opinion on my idea so I get a better look
of how successful my movie will be. The movie will be set in Haydon School as
it is a horror within the school, as its a ghost horror film, as the school is
haunted.

Why I chose this idea

I received feedback from a focus group, and I have decided to go with my

first idea, the horror film. I got many negative comments about my second
idea and they were all very valid so for that reason I have decided to scrap
the 2nd idea of doing a rom com and Im going straight for the horror film.
Obviously the focus group had an influence on my choice but I always
favoured the horror film mainly because the budget wont be as big as the
rom com, and it would be a lot more entertaining than the rom com, as I
find that horror films are meant to entertain and scare people which mine
would do, but most films in general are used to entertain people, so I
wouldve thought that a horror film can be very entertaining to the viewer.
Also I feel that the effects in the horror film will be quite cool, and I think
the actors I have chosen would feel that they would prefer to do a horror
film as they would have a lot more fun acting in this rather than the rom
com, as the actors Ive chosen have been in several horrors and not any
rom coms, so it wouldve been there first one if I had chosen it.

List of locations

The location I have chosen to shoot my film is Haydon Secondary

School, I have chosen this location because my film is based
around a haunted horror school. Haydon School has a wide range
of studios that I could have my photo shoots in, especially there
drama studio as its got a big space.
