Introduction:
This is the second progress report for coop training. It contains many tasks I have done through the
training with AlZahed Co. Some of them are repeated many times due to the work nature. Also, I
explained the stages I went through until I learned how to maintain sensors internally and externally,
as well as how to check the (Programable Logic Controller) PLC and how to do one of the most
important operations which is (Gas charging).

2
Learn how to maintenance the internal sensitive sensors:
In the first week, we started by learning how to maintain internal sensitive sensors that require
disassembly and installation, as sometimes some malfunctions happen internally, and sometimes
they are simple malfunctions that require simple and easy repair, and sometimes they are complex
malfunctions and need repair and replacement of some parts from old devices

Start maintenance:
Immediately after we learned how to maintain the internal parts of the machine, we started repairing
and maintaining the damaged sensors, where the first thing I started with was the self-casting
machine (shown below), where I repaired the external guard covers for the sensors then I unpacked
all the sensors covers to continue repairing the other sensitive parts for the sensor, I started repairing
them one by one to make sure that all the sensors that help the self-casting machine work internally
correctly. Some of these internal parts are always requiring lubrication from time to time, as it stops
working sometimes due to the dryness of the liquid inside it, where we reinstalled Filling the liquid
and installing it again and it is ready for use, after we tested it.

3
Learn how to maintenance the external sensitive sensors:
In the third week, we started by learning how to maintain external sensitive sensors that require
disassembly and installation (The same operations before), but externally as sometimes some
malfunctions happen externally, and sometimes they are simple malfunctions that require simple and
easy repair and fix, and sometimes they are complex and needs malfunctions, also we can use some
old parts from the other machines.

Start maintenance:
After that we learned how to repair and external maintenance of the Sensors, we started again to
repairing and maintaining the sensitive sensors, the external parts are more difficult because of the
large size of the machines and also because of the weight, as each part has independent sensors and
some of them need maintenance or replacement, whether from old devices or by importing new
sensors, where the technician's task begins in maintenance and repair of faults, as the first machine
that began to repair its external sensors was the automatic filling machine, which requires careful
and careful work.

4
Starting to check the (Programable Logic Controller) PLC in the production
lines:
At the beginning of the last week, we began to check the PLC in all production lines to make sure
that the lines work correctly by using what we learned in the college (Siemens), the PLC
(Programable Logic Controller) in the plant are divided into three types based on output namely
Relay output, Transistor output, and triac Output PLC. Also, we start to make the process for the
given information (inputs), to execute the instruction from the program, and deliver the results
(outputs) based on the provided information and written logic.

5
Learn how to do the gas charging operation:
In this mission, we learned how to fill gas such as Freon in the filling units, where this process
requires a lot of effort, waiting and caution because some gases are dangerous and the technician
must wear all safety equipment. The process begins with connecting the armored hose to the
measurement machine to control the current, where we learned how to control the device and how to
deal with it, as it controls pressure, current and flow at the same time.

Start the operation (Gas charging);

After that, we immediately started filling the units directly and distributing them to all the lines, the
first of which is the production lines, where the gas filling process is one of the last parts of the
production process, after that we assemble the cylinders to be filled at the point of filling, shipping
and storage, after that we redistribute them in their own places so that the technicians start work and
use them again.

6
Experience gained:
I learned how to work safe and safety factors.
I learned that gases are very dangerous and there are a special ways to deal with it and use it.
I learned how to properly disassemble and install the external parts of the sensitive sensors.
I learned how to properly disassemble and install the internal parts of the sensitive sensors.

Techniques/skills learned:
I learned how to deal with tools and heavy parts of machinery in the plant.
I learned how to storage of dangerous liquids and gases.
I learned how to check the PLC (Programable Logic Controller) in production lines to be used to
facilitate the flexibility and speed of work in the plnt.

Conclusion:
As Conclusion, the training period was a period full of learning new skills and gaining experiences
that should be acquired by every technician, such as dealing with external parts and internal parts of
machines, as well as how to check the PLC and deal with it in the plant.
