INTRODUCTION
Allium is the genus that includes onions, rakkyo (an Asian onion),
scallions,
chive, leeks, and shallots. Garlic is closely related to all of these plants. Since
thousands of years ago, people have utilized it for both culinary and health and
therapeutic purposes, and Ancient Egypt was one of its most renowned users.
Pesticides are used to control various pests and disease carriers, such as
mosquitoes, ticks, rats and mice. It is used in agriculture to control weeds, insect

One of the best activities for reducing stress and connecting with nature
is gardening. The issue is that growing plants can occasionally cause new types
them when it comes to successful pest control, from letting nature take its course
to introducing predatory species that can assist reduce pest load. Many people
opt to use pesticides and insecticides, whether they are organic or more potent
chemical remedies. Spraying may be the only method left to save the plant when
pest pressure is at its greatest. Spraying for bugs doesn’t have to mean handling
toxic chemicals. Natural products, such as garlic essential oil, can be helpful
tools for dealing with pest pressure in a nontoxic way. If spraying plants with
plant juice to save them from hungry bugs sounds like a questionable practice,
keep reading. We’ll explore the effectiveness of garlic insecticide and identify
what pests garlic spray might help keep away. (Wolfe, 2023)
CHAPTER 2
METHODOLOGY
Presented in this chapter are the materials and procedure.
Research materials:
Next, start by finely chopping or crushing the garlic. You can use a
garlic press or a knife for this step.

Allow the garlic and oil mixture to sit for at least 24 hours. This allows
time for the garlic to infuse into the oil, creating a concentrated solution.
After 24 hours, strain the garlic and oil mixture using a strainer. This will
separate the liquid from the solid garlic pieces. You can discard the solid
garlic pieces or use them for cooking
Your homemade garlic oil pesticide is ready to use. Pour it into a spray
bottle for easy application. Be sure to shake the bottle before each use to
ensure the oil and water are well-mixed.
To use the garlic oil pesticide, spray it directly on the plants affected
by pests. Pay special attention to the undersides of leaves where many
pests hide.
Lastly, repeat the application every 7-10 days or as needed until the
pest problem is under control.

Next, start by finely chopping or crushing the garlic. You can use a

In a small bowl or container, combine the chopped or crushed garlic with
50 ml of mineral oil (or vegetable oil). The oil helps extract the active
compounds from the garlic and makes the solution more effective.

Combine the strained garlic-infused oil with the soapy water mixture.
Stir gently to mix the two solutions thoroughly.
