actly as it is shown on the front of your bill.

Receiving Council Tax Support


If you are claiming Housing Benefit or Council Tax Support and there has been a change in your
circumstances you must inform us at www.brent.gov.uk/myaccount
Examples of changes in your circumstances include: moving home, a change to your income or
someone moving into or out of your home.
We will assess your current position and update you on the support you may be eligible for. You
can request a written version of our decision within one month͘ If you wish to appeal, this should be
in writing (use contact form at www.brent.gov.uk/council-tax) and the Council will review the deci-
sion. If you remain dissatisfied a further appeal can be made to the Valuation Tribunal. Council Tax
remains payable even if you are appealing or disputing the balance or liability. If your appeal is suc-
cessful any overpaid Council Tax will be refunded.
It is an offence not to inform us and could result in a fine or prosecution.
