CLASS ACTIVITY
TOPIC : 3 – D Shapes
General Instructions :
1. This activity will be performed primarily in the class room by you under the guidance of
your subject teacher.
2. You should bring your Geometry Box containing all the instruments(scale, compass,
protractor, pencils, eraser and a sharpener).
3. You should bring at least two A4 interleaf(one side ruled and one side unruled) papers.
4. Subject teacher will guide you about what to do for this activity in the class room.
5. After the completion of the activity in the class you have write the activity in your lab
activity book (Lace file)
6. Use interleaf (one side ruled and one side unruled) sheets and lace file to write your
activity.
7. The entire activity must be hand-written.
8. You should attach the geometrical construction done in the class in your Activity file.
9. If the activity is not done properly in the class (neat and clean), you should do it again at
home and attach it in the lace file.
10. The front page as well as the front cover of the lace file should contain the following
information:
(i) Name of the School : South Point High School
(ii) Name of the student :
(iii) Class and section (with session) :
(iv) Year : 2023 – 2024
(v) Roll Number :
(vi) Subject : Mathematics
(vii) Class Activity topic: 3 – D Shapes

11.You may start writing the main content of the activity from the second sheet (leave the
back side of the front page, containing the aforesaid details, blank).

12. You should write the following in the Activity file:

(i) Draw the figures: Cuboid, Cube, Cylinder, Sphere, Right Circular Cone,
Tetrahedron.
(ii) Make a table mentioning the number of faces, edges, vertices of the above
solids.
(iii) Make a table connecting the solids Cuboid, Cube, Cylinder, Sphere, Right
Circular Cone with real life examples.

NOTE :
 These activities may be the part of the Internal Assessment.
 This activity must be done MANUALLY i.e., by hand, NOT digitally.
 The submission must be done within the DUE DATE.
 This activity is to be conducted on 18th January, 2024 and should be submitted in hard
copies to the mathematics teachers of your section on 22nd January, 2024 during
Mathematics periods.
 Follow the instructions regarding submission, written in Posts of MS teams.
