Manual for project

1. Open file Cosmetic Package.aep with After Effects CS 5.5 or above.

The Project requires plugin Element3d 2.2
MODEL RELINK
2. Element3d does not request relink of models, so it has to be done manually.
2.1. Select needed layer 17-24 and make it visible. Choose needed package by name:

In project window click Scene Setup, in E3d plugin click on menu File, select Relink Scene Files,
find OBJ folder in Template folder and click OK. Wait until Model appears in Scene setup and hit OK.

Once the model appears in Composition Screen the Template is ready for work.
Repeat relink operation for every needed layer.
NOTICE:
DO NOT MAKE VISIBLE ALL MODEL LAYERS SIMULTANEOUSLY UNLESS YOU HAVE POWERFUL PC
3. Import your footage and images into folder 01. Import
4. Unfold Folder 02. Texture
4.1. Choose the Folder of Model by name:

5. Open folder 02. Textures and choose model

5.1. Every model’s subfolder contain unwrapped UV maps of objects for comfort texturing.

5.2. Compose your model’s layout right in the composition:

Main - put basic texture

Bump - use white or gray color to apply bump effect on certain parts

Glossiness - white or gray color for glossiness effect

Reflection - use any color to give tone to reflection

Cream color. Open Composition Jar. Select layer Cream Color. Change color In Effect Controls window.
Do not change position of the layer.

6. Open Composition 03. MAIN Choose Null Object of model

6.1. To control Position select Selection Tool Click direction arrow and Drag, the 3d model will follow

Or press ‘P’ on layer and adjust coordinates X, Y, Z.

6.2. For Scale Сontrol select Selection Tool, Click on corner of Null and drag.

Or Press ‘S’ on layer and adjust percent.

6.3. To control Rotation or Orientation select Rotation Tool Click direction arrow and Drag, the 3d model will follow

MODELS EXTRA CONTROL

7. All Objects except Bottle 100 ml have additional parameters of Cap Control and Opacity

7.1 Jar Cap Control

Select Null Object JAR CAP.
You may control Position, Rotation and Scale as individual object.
It has been connected to JAR Null.

7.2. Jar Cap Opacity

Select Null Object JAR, in Effect Control adjust Jar Opacity.

For proper work of this effect - keep the lower layer of Jar Texture Opacity 50%

7.3. Tube Cap Open

Select Null Object Tube 75, in Effect Controls adjust Open Cap

7.4. Bottle Filp Top Cap Open

Select Null Object Bottle 100 Flip Top, in Effect Controls adjust Open Cap

8. Floor Reflection and glossiness

Open Composition Floor Reflection.
To change floor Glossiness - select Gloss layer, in Effect Controls adjust color from black to white
The whiter - the more glossiness.

To change floor Reflection color - select Reflect layer, in Effect Controls any color to colorize reflection tone.

9. Go to compositon 3. MAIN Press CTRL+M and render

Tips: If you would like to have two or more objects in the scene - the one might overlap another, then you have to
change layers order

The scene is fully 3d if you would like to change lights or camera - unhide layers,

Null Controls in the scenes are keyable

Object Layouts elements can be animated

Press ctrl+alt+/ if there are Element3d issues happen
