Specific Objectives: At the end of the lesson, the learners should be able to:
1. Use analog multi-meters to measure the voltage and resistance of a battery and
loop wire respectively.
2. Investigate how the voltage affects the current in a circuit.
3. Calculate the electric current, voltage, and resistance using Ohm’s Law.

The atom is the smallest particle of matter that consists of a proton, neutron, and
electron which are positive, neutral, and negative charges respectively. It is the
flow of electrons that causes electrical current or electricity.
Electricity originates from the motion of charges. An electric charge is an
electrical property of matter that creates a force between objects.
Objects are charged by gaining electrons only.
Materials that allow electrons to flow freely are called insulators like metals such
as copper, silver, and aluminum.
Materials that do not allow electrons to easily flow through them are called
conductors such as wood, plastic, and rubber.
