Competencies/
Objectives
(Write the LC code)
Specific Objectives: At the end of the lesson, the learners should be able to:
1. Use analog multi-meters to measure the voltage and resistance of a battery and
loop wire respectively.
2. Investigate how the voltage affects the current in a circuit.
3. Calculate the electric current, voltage, and resistance using Ohm’s Law.

 The atom is the smallest particle of matter that consists of a proton, neutron, and
electron which are positive, neutral, and negative charges respectively. It is the
flow of electrons that causes electrical current or electricity.
 Electricity originates from the motion of charges. An electric charge is an
electrical property of matter that creates a force between objects.
 Objects are charged by gaining electrons only.
 Materials that allow electrons to flow freely are called insulators like metals such
as copper, silver, and aluminum.
 Materials that do not allow electrons to easily flow through them are called
conductors such as wood, plastic, and rubber.

the lesson IT’S ELECTRIC!
Call one learner to rub a balloon on his head to demonstrate static charge. The
teacher will then present the student with the task of having the balloon stick to the table.
Students should be given 2-3 minutes to be able to complete this task using prior
knowledge and other information. Then the students will take that balloon and put it near
