Lesson: Activating Additional Features and End-to-End Testing

● Check if there is any entry available for workflow WS02000031. If no entry is available, add
a new entry WS02000031. Make sure the check box is selected.
● To define a new workflow, open the Manage Workflows (Advanced Compliance Reporting)
app and choose Add. Enter a name for your workflow. Optionally, enter values for Step
Properties, that is, a description, as well as a validity period.
● Enter Start Conditions that have to be met for the workflow to start. The following start
conditions are provided:
- Country
- Report Category
- Reporting Entity
- Reporting Phase

You can add one or more preconditions that must be met before the workflow is triggered.
When two or more start conditions are added below, only start the workflow if all of the
following preconditions are met, they work on and condition. In addition, you can also define
one or more alternative preconditions using the Add Alternative Preconditions button. The
conditions below alternative preconditions are considered as the next set of and conditions.
The start conditions and the alternative preconditions work on the or condition. If there’s no
set of preconditions where the conditions are met, the workflow is not started.
Define the workflow steps with their respective preconditions and recipients under Step
Sequence. The steps are executed in the defined order. Do the following:
● Under Step Sequence, choose Add to create a step. You can also delete existing ones
(Delete), or change the order of execution with the arrows (Move Up and Move Down).
Optionally, in the Header tab, enter a name for the step.
● Select the Step Type as Approve Report.
● In the Recipients tab, assign Roles. Recipients are determined automatically by the
assigned role. You can specify recipients using teams defined in the Manage Teams and
Responsibilities app. Choose whether one, or all of the recipients of a role (or all indicated
users) have to complete the step. Please note that if all of the recipients option is selected,
the approval process will be completed only if all the selected users approve the report.

Optional steps are:

● Assign Step Conditions. Using the plus icon, you can view and define one or more
preconditions for each step that have to be met. If there’s no set of preconditions where
the conditions are met, the step is skipped.
● Define Deadlines. Deadlines are to prioritize the approval step, based on conditions. For
example, you can define a deadline such that the approval item should become overdue if
it is pending with an approver for three days. The following deadlines conditions are
available:
- Report Due Date
- Workflow Started
- Step Started
