1. Product selection
Kanontec's KAC host series products are divided into four series, KAC001, KAC002, KAC005 and KAC008, each series supports Daikin/Toshiba/Mitsubishi Electric/Hitachi

Home Bus System (HBS) is a concept jointly proposed by Japanese companies: Hitachi, Mitsubishi, Panasonic, Toshiba, etc.
Developed by the HBS Standards Committee of the Wire Engineering Electronics Society. Today's air-conditioning brands basically use the HBS bus protocol as the standard for data exchange within the air-conditioning system.
The VRV/VRF air conditioner bus brands and descriptions supported by KAC series products are as follows:
Air conditioner brand Air conditioner bus name Terminals Air Conditioning Bus Polarity (Positive and Negative) Supported Number of Indoor Units
By using KAC series gateway products, the smart home system or building automation system can directly manage and control Hitachi central air conditioners in a centralized manner;
3.1 Support Hitachi central air conditioner model (outdoor unit model)
Applicable to all Hitachi central air-conditioning series: (outdoor unit models generally start with RAS-) For
specific model details, please consult our sales or pre-sales technical support
KAC generally connects U1 and U2 to 1 and 2 of the outdoor unit of the air conditioner, regardless of positive or negative. If inconvenient, it can also be connected to 1 and 2 on a certain indoor unit.
0-0. The address of the outdoor unit can only be set by dialing the code on the circuit
board. The address of the indoor unit can be set in two ways: ÿSetting by dialing the code on the circuit board; ÿSetting on the wired remote control of the indoor unit, here Only the indoor unit address dialing method is introduced. When
multiple outdoor units are connected together, it is also necessary to set the terminating resistance.
Connect the wiring according to the schematic diagram in Section 3.2. Connect U1 and U2 on the KAC to 1 and 2 of the outdoor unit or indoor unit.
to the steps shown in Section 3.3 for the setting of the air conditioner address.
Note: After the KAC is powered on, there will be a self-test process and a query process. The phenomenon is that the red and green lights flash synchronously every 3 seconds.
4. Use the integration point table or APP to complete the system docking. (see Chapter 4)
The default parameters are Slave ID: 1, Baudrate: 9600, 8, 1, N. The integration example is as follows:
