CONSTRUCTION REGULATIONS 8(1)

CR 8(1) A principal contractor must in writing appoint one full-time

competent person as the Construction Manager with the duty of
managing all the construction work on a single site, including the
duty of ensuring Occupational Health and Safety compliance.

Duties and Responsibilities

In terms of this appointment, you are responsible for THE CONSTRUCTION OF WALK-
PATH BETWEEN STUDENT VILLAGE AND THE MAIN CAMPUS AT WALTER SISULU UNIVERSITY

BUTTERWORTH CAMPUS. To ensure that you meet this responsibility you must
familiarize yourself with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and its
Regulations. You are also required to ensure that all statutory requirements
are always met.
