Lambung Mangkurat Museum

What is museum? Museum is a place which something about history. In mean real,
Museum is instution which help people understand and appreciate the world. In
normally, the museum is famous for its historical object. And museum is usually used
as a place of learning for the students. Museum as well as an important place in a
country, where the museum could be a characteristic of historical narrative in a
country. Museum collect objects of scientific, aesthetic or historical importance. They
care for them, study and exhibit them for purpose of public educationand
advancement of knowledge. Museums also function as educational instutions which
ther many benefits to their visitors.

In South Borneo has one museum in Banjarbaru, the name of museum is Lambung
Mangkurat Museum. In there have many object about Banjar historical. Lambung
Mangkurat Museum is official to use at 1979. This museum building custom homes
arcitecsture Banjar or houses on stilts, the house is an elevated ridge that is polished
with modern style. Lambung Mangkurat Museum is consisting of 2 floors. On the first
floor consists of exhibit space (display). On the second floor, visiyors can see the
photos and maps of the distribution of ethnic tribes scattered troughtout Southern
Borneo.
