The charts below show the percentage of people aged 23-65 in different
occupations in one UK town (Ashby) and in the UK as a whole in 2008.

1. The given pie charts illustrate the proportion of those from 23 to 65 working in different
jobs in Ashby and in the UK in 2008. → The charts compare the percentage of emplyees
from 23 to 65 who worked in 7 kinds of jobs in two nations in 2008.

2. It is clear that personal service was by far the most popular line of work in Ashby. → It
is apparently ready that the majority of residents in Ashby worked in personal service.

3. The smallest number was witnessed in professional work in Ashby. → Professional


work in Ashby experienced the smallest figure.

4. In Ashby in 2008, there were 21% people working in personal service, compared to
18% as office workers. → In Ashby in 2008 the percentages of people working in
personal service and office workers were 21% and 18% respectively.

5. 14% was recorded in shop work, which was the same as the number of jobless people
