As part of his 11-day ritual ahead of Ram Mandir inauguration, Prime Minister
Narendra Modi on Sunday reached Arichal Munai in Tamil Nadu's Dhanushkodi, the
place where the Ram Setu is said to be built.

He paid floral tributes at the spot where Lord Ram is believed to have engineered a
bridge to reach Lanka.

PM Modi will offer prayers in Sri Kothandarama Swamy Temple at Dhanushkodi in the
district, reported news agency PTI. This will be the fourth temple with a Ramayana
connection where he will offer prayers.

Earlier on Saturday, the PM visited the Sri Ranganathaswamy temple at Sri Rangam in
Trichy, an ancient shrine linked to the Ramayana, and listened to 'Kamba' Ramayana
recitation by scholars.

PM Modi reached Tamil Nadu's Chennai on Friday amid much fan-fair. He conducted a
roadshow in Chennai. Meanwhile, Chennai Police registered a case against three
Youth Congress workers for waving black balloons at PM Modi.

His visit to the Tamil Nadu temples with a Ramayana connect comes just ahead of the
consecration of the grand Ram temple at Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh on Monday.
