2. Understand the role of Play in literacy instruction

1. The group will be divided into 3.
2. Each group will be given a manipulative game. Explore it.
3. List the positive and negative impact of playing the game
4. Choose a reporter to present the responses
Analysis 1.Questions:
-How do you find playing the game assigned to your group?
- Do you think children will enjoy or dislike it as well?
- What kind of game is commonly enjoyed by K-3 learners?
- Is literacy gained through “play”?
- Today you will learn more about “The Role of Play in Literacy Instruction”
2. Watch the video and try to identify the literacy understanding that the children are revealing as they play.
