Inner Border Use ¼” seams and press as arrows indicate throughout.

2 - 2 1/2” x 36 1/2” strips A Blocks:

To create the diagonal fabric placement used in the
2 - 2 1/2” x 40 1/2” strips B quilt, make each Courthouse Steps Block using two
Outer Border different solids. Follow the instructions on the
Courthouse Steps Foundation Paper to construct the
2 - 4 1/2” x 40 1/2” strips C blocks, but disregard the instructions for Dark and Light
placements.
3 - 4 1/2” x width of fabric strips D
Use the same fabric for Placement 1 in all blocks. Use
Binding matching fabric for Placements 2, 5, 6, 9, 10 and 13 and
different matching fabric for Placements 3, 4, 7, 8, 11
6 - 2 1/2” x width of fabric strips E
and 12.

39 sheets the image on page 3 for the combinations we used to
make each block.

Outer Border:
Piece the Fabric D strips end to end and subcut into:
2 - 4 ½” x 48 ½” strips (Top and Bottom Outer Borders)
Attach side outer borders using the Fabric C strips.
Attach the Top and Bottom Outer Borders.

Piece the Fabric E strips end to end for binding.
Quilt and bind as desired.
