IV. ASSESSMENT: (20 points)

1. What is Vincentian Spirituality?
 Christian spirituality known as Vincentian Spirituality is founded on the life and teachings of the
17th-century French priest St. Vincent de Paul. It places a strong emphasis on living a humble,
simple, and charitable life while also aiding the underprivileged and downtrodden. The Vincentian
Spirituality exhorts people to recognize Christ in those who are in need and to actively work to
lessen their suffering.
2. How do you explain spirituality of action?
 The idea that genuine spirituality involves more than simply one's own piety or contemplation and
also involves actively demonstrating one's faith through service and activity is known as the
spirituality of action. It emphasizes the value of acting in ways that promote justice, compassion, and
charity in order to put one's beliefs into practice. This refers to actively helping those who are in need
in the context of Vincentian Spirituality.
3. What makes Vincentian Spirituality distinct from other spiritualities?
 The Vincentian Spirituality stands out from other religions due to its emphasis on helping the
underprivileged and downtrodden people. Vincentian Spirituality focuses a strong emphasis on social
justice and sympathy with those who are suffering, whereas many spiritualities emphasize personal
development and individual salvation. It necessitates a strong commitment to solving the structural
problems that contribute to inequality and poverty.
4. How do you explain this phrase, “Spirituality of the Catholic Church tries
to be balanced between doctrine and experience, between theory and
practice, between contemplation and apostolate”?
 The statement "Spirituality of the Catholic Church tries to be balanced between doctrine and
experience, between theory and practice, between contemplation and apostolate" denotes the
Catholic spirituality's pursuit of a peaceful harmony between various facets of faith. It values
individual encounters with God while also emphasizing the value of comprehending and upholding
doctrinal beliefs. It promotes both apostolate (active participation in sharing the Gospel and assisting
others) and contemplation (reflection, prayer).
5. Can you say that your spirituality is balanced? Support your answer with
proofs.
 I guess yes because I'm at liberty to live the life I desire and to be who I want to be. Without
experiencing inferiority, worry, or fear, I can articulate my needs and concentrate on what I want. I'm
glad and content.
