Learning Goal/ Action Plan Guidelines

Learning goals are about your ownprofessional learning needs as a nursing student.
After reviewing the available workshops, assess and identify an area of knowledge or
skill that you require further development in.

Begin each learning goal with: “I would like to learn………….”

Create one action plan statement for each learning goal. Each action plan statement
should include how you will meet the specific learning goal.

Begin your action plan statement for each with: “I will attend/complete……………”

…and end each statement with the exact timeframe details (when you will
attend/complete the workshop/on-line module).

Here are some examples:

“I would like to learn how to write a paper using APA format. I will attend the SALS
online workshop called “APA” on March 6, 2020.”
“I would like to increase my confidence in presenting in front of a group. I will complete
the SALS “presentation skills” virtual workshop on March 9th, 2020.”

In Summary, your Professional Learning Assignment will include:

Pg. 1: Title page in APA format

Pg. 2-5: Introduction, Two Learning Goal/Action Plan Statements and Writing reflection
in chart format, double spaced.
Pg. 6: Reference page in APA format
Pg. 7: Certificates of Completion of two SALS workshops. Screenshot is acceptable.
*If you have already done the APA workshop, you must do it again. You can submit your
