• Structure for the future tense “Be going to”:
Sentence
Subject + verb to be + going to + verb + complement

Example: I am going to eat Chinese food tomorrow.


Wh-questions
Wh Q + verb to be + Subject + going to + verb + complement

Example: What is he going to drink next week?


Yes/no questions
verb to be + Subject + going to + verb + complement

Example: is she going to read the bible?


• Structure for the “Present progressive”:
Sentence
Subject + verb to be + verb ing + complement

Example: I am eating Chinese food now.


Wh-questions
Wh Q + verb to be + Subject+ verb ing + complement

Example: What is he drinking right now?


Yes/no questions
verb to be + Subject + verb + complement

Example: is she reading the bible?


• Structure for the “Simple past”:
Sentence
Subject + verb in past + complement

Example: I ate Chinese food yesterday.


Wh-questions
Wh Q + Aux. DID + Subject+ verb + complement

Example: What did he drink yesterday?


Yes/no questions
Aux.DID + Subject + verb + complement

Example: Did she read the bible?
