In the world we live in today technology is an essential need to us human

being. We are in the new Era that technologies play a primary role in our society
and is a great reference to everyone to engage themselves in a digital society.

The purpose of media and information enable oneself to understand, to think

critically, and be an open minded to a certain topic to interpret and produce
information. Each and every one of us has the capacity to be a media literate
individual in many ways such as being responsible to the things we do in the
internet. In the net sometimes the identity of a person is not exact they alter their
personal information to be anonymous or unknown. People now a days are
influenced in the different technologies and they are exposed in the different media
platforms. Thorough technologies people can easily get the information they need,
just copy and paste it whenever they want. But all information are reliable and
accurate? For example in making an assignment if you decided to acquire the data
you needed make sure that the sources are credible and trustworthy for a better
results. Another subject about media literacy is that technology can manipulate the
lifestyle of a person it can develop obsession that can affect the behaviour of an
individual like students especially at my age prefer to stay at a computer shop than
attending class. This shows that technology have advantage and disadvantages
even most people want technology to be not just a useful tool to make our life easy
and comfortable but also a good manifestation to the community.

Even though media has many advantages it also has its limit. It is up to us on
how use it wisely for the better impact in humanity. Technology can be very
helpful but also harmful if not managed properly this can cause for an individual to
be contingent on technology and forget reality. Nevertheless technology is the
most used and prominent medium for information. As a media and information
provider, one should know the rules to be media and information literate, for a
well- developed society as well as its people.
