ATA 25 EQUIPMENT/FURNISHING

1. Movement of the crew seats can be accomplished from where ?

a) Only can be moved manually by control levers on the inboard side of the seat.
b) Electrically by the vertical & horizontal control switches on the inboard side of the
seat & behind the seat horizontal control switch.
c) Controlled horizontally by a control switch behind the rear cover & vertically by a
control switch on the control wheel.

2. What special features do the passenger seat track cover contain ?

a) They are integral electrical units for IFE & passenger lights & calls.
b) They have extra wide sections for covering IFE cabling on the floor.
c) They have LED emergency lighting on the inboard tracks.

3. How would you turn ON or turn OFF galley refrigeration ?

a) By the control switch on each refrigerated galley unit.


b) By the maintenance switch on the Galley Cooling Unit.
c) Using the ICS menu on the Cabin Attendants Panel.

4. How would you put the crew seats into maintenance mode after refitting a seat ?

a) By pulling the under-seat circuit breaker & resetting the seat to it AFT most position.
b) By pulling the switch on the Electronic Control Unit to UPLOAD to allow software
loading of position data.
c) Putting the switch on the Electronic Control Unit into CALIBRATION position.

5. Which audio alert is cancelled by pressing the HORN CUT OFF switch on the
Attendant Switch Panel (ASP) at the Passenger Entry Door (PED) ?

a) The Overhead Flight Crew Rest (OFCR) & Overhead Flight Attendant Rest (OFAR)
decompression alert.
b) The EVACUATION (EVAC) command which causes an audio alert through cabin
speakers.
c) Both the decompression alert & evacuation command.

NOTE:

How would you gain access to the FWD EE bay from the cabin ?
Through door inboard of PED L1.
What conditions would cause the Decompression Warning Horn to sound in the OFCR &
OFAR ?
If there has been a loss of cabin pressure or PASS OXYGEN P5 is in the ON position.

The aircraft has been placed into air mode using CMCF. What effect will this have upon
the Emergency Evacuation System operation ?
The system is inhibited in the air to prevent accidental operation of the evacuation horn.

The EVAC command is selected ‘ON’ on the ASP but the horn does not sound at the PED
area. What could inhibit system operation ?
1-EVAC command switch on P5 is in the OFF position.
2-Aircraft in AIR mode.

ATA 50 CARGO COMPARTMENTS

1. You are called to inoperable FWD Cargo Handling System (CHS). The Main Control
Panel will not switch on & the Cargo Maintenance Display Unit (CMDU) is blank.
What could be the cause ?

a) The aircraft is only in Ground Handling mode.


b) The FWD cargo door is not fully open.
c) The power drive units optic sensors are not covered.

NOTE:

When will Self-Life Power Drive unit (PDU) operate, raising & moving a container ?
Selected ‘ON’ on MCP, Airplane on external power & no engines running, Cargo Door fully
open, ULD above PDU for optic sensor & joystick selected on MCP.

An individual Spring-Left Power Drive unit (PDU) fails to operate within the Cargo
Handling System (CHS). How can the PDU be driven or fault data viewed ?
Viewed on CMDU accessed with password and menu driven.
