FACTORS – A number or algebraic expression that
divides another number or expression evenly with no
remainder.

MULTIPLES- A multiple is the product of any


quantity and an integer.

GCF - The Greatest Common Factor or divisor of two


or more integers, which are not all zero, is the largest
positive integer that divides each of the integers.
LCM - Stands for Least Common Multiple. The least
common multiple of two numbers is the smallest
number that is a multiple of both of them.

Prime and Composite numbers - Prime number is a


number which has exactly two factors '1' and the
number itself. A composite number has more than
two factors, which means apart from getting divided
by 1 and the number itself, it can also be divided by
at least one positive integer.

FRACTION - A fraction is used to represent the


portion/part of the whole thing.

PROPER FRACTION – A fraction whose numerator is


less than the denominator.

IMPROPER FRACTION - A fraction in which the


numerator is greater than the denominator, such as
7/4.

MIXED FRACTION - It is a form of a fraction which is


defined as the ones having a fraction and a whole
number.
DISSIMILAR FRACTION - Two or more fractions are
called dissimilar or unlike fractions if they have
different denominator.

SIMILAR FRACTION – Are fractions with the same


denominators and dissimilar fractions are fractions
with different denominators.

DECIMAL - Are one of the types of numbers, which


has a whole number and the fractional part separated
by a decimal point.

PLACE VALUE - The value represented by a digit in a


number on the basis of its position in the number.

READING AND WRITING - When you read numbers,


use place value, or the value of a digit based on its
position in the number, to read the number from left
to right.
