PROJECT SYNOPSIS

Project Title : Handwritten Digit Recognition

Project Goal : Datascience to evaluate General handwritten digit recognition

Objectives : 1) Train Dataset.

2)Create GUI
3)Recognize handwritten digits
Project description : We are going to create a model that will be able to recognize and
determine the handwritten digits from its image. Though the goal
is to create a model which can recognize the digits, it can be
extended to letters and an individual’s handwriting in English,
Hindi and Gujarati Language.

Software specification : Jupyter Notebook and Modified National Institute of Standards

and Technology (MNIST) dataset

Hardware specification : OS: Windows 10/11

RAM: 8GB

Hard disk: 256GB

Processor Speed: 1.9 GHZ or above

Problems to be addressed : The handwritten digit recognition is the ability of computers to

recognize human handwritten digits. It is a hard task for the
machine because handwritten digits are not perfect.

Expected outcome : to build an automatic handwritten digit recognition method for

the recognition of handwritten digit strings to overcome frauds at
various organizational level.

Duration : 5 months
