MY SONG PIECE

I chose Leron Leron Sinta because it is a folk song that has a beautiful rhythm and
pitch. As I sing this song, I felt happy and it uplifts my mood. In addition, Leron, Leron sinta
or "My Dear, Little Leron," is a popular Filipino folk song from the Tagalog region. It is
traditionally a work song, representing those who work in the fields harvesting fruits,
though the origin is unclear due to the lack of scholarly literature that examines Philippine
folk music.

For my preparation, I prepared the instrument we made in our past activity and I
also practiced the song Leron Leron Sinta. My inspiration in this song is my mother because
she used to sing me this song when I was a baby.

Folk songs are important because they express creativity and the importance of
these folk songs in the Philippine Music is it shows how creative Filipinos are that even in a
little or not-so-important event in our life, we make music.
